arthur's day celebration

last nite i went to the arthur's day celebration at sunway lagoon surf beach.
me being the duh me, seeing the bep picture at the posters and banners, assumed that it's a bep concert, with other featuring artiste. BUT...
it's NOT!
it's a lot of artistes performing, featuring bep! ah ha!
got difference leh like this.
i tot i could go see the event, stay for a few of bep songs and leave early but in the end bep only came on about 10:30pm or so!!! i stood there cramped and squashed and dripping in sweat (mine and others who touched me) just to hear 2 bep song and left earlier before the throng of human stampede happened.

i was telling jay, next time i've to do a concert where ppl go in by height.. hahaha.. so short ppl can see among all these giants!
i purposely took this to show you what i can see from my eye view! hahahah..

this is from Jay's view. big difference from mine!

i super like the signage. thought of tearing one out and stick next to church entrance before SNL! "This way to the REAL most remarkable party"
waited forever till they come out

Confusing Chinese Names

Caller : Hello, can I speak to Annie Wan (anyone)?

Operator : Yes, you can speak to me.

Caller : No, I want to speak to Annie Wan (anyone)!

Operator : You are talking to someone! Who is this?

Caller : I'm Sam Wan (Someone). And I need to talk to Annie Wan (anyone)! It's urgent.

Operator : I know you are someone and you want to talk to anyone! But what's this urgent matter about?

Caller : Well... just tell my sister Annie Wan (anyone) that our brother Noel Wan (no one)has involved in an accident. Noel Wan (no one)got injured and now Noel Wan (no one) is being sent to the hospital. Right now, Avery Wan (everyone) is on his way to the hospital.

Operator : Look if no one was injured and no one was sent to the hospital, then the accident isn't an urgen t matter! You may find this hilarious but I don't have time for this!

Caller : You are so rude! Who are you?

Operator : I'm Saw Lee (Sorry).

Caller : Yes! You should be sorry. Now give me your name!!

discipleship gals

this is the discipleship gals of pc's. last sunday, to celebrate pc's birthday, she took us all to andana spa for the whole day. and she even paid the bulk of the bill. she's been reading this book on rest and she took us on a rest-ful discipleship time. ain't she the gem?

charlene in her cute-ness, walked in and remarked that we all look like green froggies! hahahaha....

and pc gave us all a present - the wedding photos with each of us in a a4 size frame. i cant show u the rest of the girls photos because it's theirs but i can show u mine. cos it's mine. ah ha! it's lover-ley.... this is one of my favourite photos. the one with pc is beautiful of course. the two with wai foong i really like.... and the funny group photo we took, and the lovely gals photo we took... oooo...... few people find good friends. but fewer managed to find those they can cry with and laugh with and stand with even though we are not best of friends, but we are such kind of friends. it's a different level to relating... thanks, all my sistas!

merr's me

So you think you can choreograph.... like this?

There were not really many good things happening for me in SYTYCD S5.
i loved S4 more cos there really were so many more productions that had moved me from one state of emotions to another, bringing me to places i've not been to.
but here are THE two choreography from Season 5 that had brought goosebumps to my skin all through the experience and tears that easily come to the brim of my eyes. hope u'll enjoy it as much as i did - the truth in the experience.

when i see these, i know that there are rare geniuses in this world that are specially gifted enabling them to reach deep in and touch your soul with their creations... whether u are prepared for it or not... and i, humbly, am not one of those...

this is, thus far, the choreography that's closest to heart. addiction. the truth is so real. the reality so close. the bondage so difficult to break. it can make me cry.
how many times in our lives where we want, we do, we desire... that which is not good for us? too many times to count. it brings back memories.
the routine had forever changed the song 'gravity' for me. of course i fell in love with sara bareilles after this. every time i listen to this song, i will become quiet, with the whirl of emotions running inside as i ponder and pace myself in my thoughts. it affects me. mia, u're the priceless.

choreo by mia michaels, danced by kupono & kayla.

when i watch this with trish in the room, we were so quiet after it finished. we were brought out of the room into somewhere else. the experience kept us in silence, kept our emotions, kept the goosebumps on our skin. when we came back to our senses, i think we turned to face each other and exclaimed..."oooohhh... sooooo good..." and this ended up being one of the favourite routine that i've watched countless many times.

this dance is about a woman with breast cancer.
just how many times in our lives where we can remember the struggle, the strength, the helplessness to have to go through in a difficult situation that is not in our control but yet we can't avoid it? too many to count. too many fears I can recall. tyce, you're the gift.

choreo by tyce diorio, danced by ade & melissa.

these two choreographers has the 'power' to change my emotions. wow....

playing with fire

Just an article i read when i open yahoo.com this morning. Money is like fire. it's good when it's controlled but raise havoc when unleashed stupidly.

How to Lose $3 Million in Six Years

by Mike Krumboltz

Stop us if this sounds familiar: A very lucky person wins the lottery and expects life to change for the better, but instead, things go horribly wrong. It's a story as old as the hills, but each time it happens, it causes a huge commotion in Search. The latest "victim" of sudden wealth is a young woman from the U.K. who won millions of bucks several years ago, only to lose the vast majority of it shortly thereafter.

Callie Rogers was just 16 when she won a whopping $3 million in the lottery. Six years later, she reports that she blew untold sums on drugs, partying, exotic cars, and breast implants. A staggering $730,000 went to designer clothes alone, Ms. Rogers explains in an article from AOL. Says Rogers: "I honestly wish I'd never won the lottery money — and knowing what I know now I should have just given it all back to them." She's currently left with around $32,000.

In these trying economic times, Ms. Rogers will likely find little sympathy. Still, it's worth noting that she's hardly the first big winner who wished she'd never bought a ticket. There is such a thing as the lottery curse: As mentioned in a previous Buzz Log, there are numerous cases of lotto winners getting divorced due to stress and losing everything from poor investments. A few have even died at the hands of greedy relatives. A 2007 article from ABC will fill you in on a few more examples.

Knowing she's not the first jackpot winner to suffer hardship won't make her life any easier. But perhaps Ms. Rogers can take some comfort from the fact that there are others out there with eerily similar stories: They won big then lost big, and often wish they'd never even played.
