just dance

was cleaning files and found this. not sure where i dl it but i like the dance...

my current main thing

besides all the happenings in life and office, the three main projects currently at my hand are:
1. Gary & Elaine wedding coordination
2. Project Dance / Hong Kong trip
3. APEC 08

all these three projects happening at the same time is really STRESSFUL, WORK-FULL, MIND-FULL!! but yet each of these project brings a different addition to my life.

1. Gary & Elaine wedding coordination

coordinating the wedding had been a refreshing change from my routines. besides sharing the joy with the couple, to do something 'new' always fired me up!

2. Project Dance / Hong Kong trip
the more i view the clip, the more i grow to love it. i'm so inspired to see what God is doing in our lives now and what He had done in our lives to bring us to this stage where we've got a story to tell about HIM! although we've yet to found a place to stay or set our itineraries or confirmed performing... wow... you can watch it below or you can also watch it here: http://summerarctic.multiply.com/video

3. APEC 08
rushing to get the apec site up and running as emails from pastors' assistants starts pouring in. again this is something new that fire me up! making apec happen is like a fun and exciting adventure for me. not sure if i should call it adventure since it's a professional project that requires all level of maturity but somehow, it seems like a simple yet fun game to me. the goal - make the event a success!

merr's birthday letter...

Hello, hello

It's been a long time since I've written to you all =) Thought I'd get back into doing it. Hope everyone's doing OK. A little update here in Kuching - things are going fine.. I just helped out my pastor with some powerpoint stuff.. had what I call the Sharon-style in my powerpoint =) Didn't work quite as fast and efficiently, however.. probably because it wasn't for a sermon lol. Sharon, you didn't teach me to work on announcements....

It's my birthday tomorrow (Sunday). I was at my b'day dinner tonight and I remember that in my last Life Group, I was asked what my most memorable birthday was. I remember a lot of birthdays - when I was 3 I spent it with a bunch of my classmates in my mom's pre-school. When I was a kid between 6-9 years, I spent one at a Sugar Bun branch and played in the big playground and spent another with chicken pox. When I hit adolescence, I spent it with my closest friends. When I was 14 and 15, I smiled at the camera with my beautiful metal-covered teeth. When i was 16, I got a new puppy. I loved all my birthdays - people around me made them special, with their presence and their presents

I guess I don't like to choose my most memorable birthday because it would make me feel like I'm practicing favouritism. However, I can name the most different birthday I've had - June 2nd 2007, Melaka. I was privileged to be able to spend it with all of you and in a very different way from how I usually spend my birthday. Only in ECF have I encountered people who would gather and speak encouraging words on someone's birthday.

I realize how blessed I am to have known every one of you, regardless of whether I've known you from the day I stepped into Puchong or having had just met you. I'm unable to sit down and count the ways each of you have blessed me because my list may never end - I'll sure leave something out with my absent-minded memory, then will have to add to the list again and again I'd like to thank every one of you for having made my 20th birthday special by celebrating it with me and for making my 21st birthday special by just being my friends and making me feel loved.

Rest assured, you're loved too God bless.

Merr @ Peng
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

some people pass by our lives without a trace, or with a bad taste.... there are those who leave a sweet taste...
Merr. thanks for your friendship. i truly enjoy your pampering, my bullying n a place to pour-lash. will miss you tremendously! thanks for telling me you love me in your own ways.... i know..

I've heard it said
That people come into our lives for a reason
Bringing something we must learn
And we are led
To those who help us most to grow
If we let them
And we help them in return
Well, I don't know if I believe that's true
But I'm glad there's today
Because I knew you...

=)

what is your threshold of obedience?

have you ever realised that every one of our rebellion will hurt someone?

Gideon

Judges 6:14,
The LORD turned to him and said, "Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian's hand. Am I not sending you?"

"But Lord," Gideon asked, "how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family."

The Lord answered, "I will be with you, and you will strike down all the Midianites together."

Producing the dance production, coordinating wedding, discipling girls, managing office -
doing each of these, only tells me that I am small, weak, people just want their own ways, I am at times unwilling in my heart and sometimes, it hurts to know more.

Today, as I was reading the book of Judges, just like God spoke to Gideon, i know God is also telling, just go with the little strength that i have and the rest is up to him to make it happen or not happen. if i'm tired, i can stop and rest, if i am frustrated, i can pour it out to someone, if i am hurt, i can cry out to Him, if i need a breather space, i can stop, drop everything and pick it up again later. He will be with me. He will send the right people to help me, encourage me and walk with me. He will send the finances, He will make a way, He will show me the truth of the people.

God is amazingly involved in every area of my life. i'm glad for His Presence.
