Exodus 9 - Plague of Hail

vs 13-15... This is what the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, says: Let MY people go, so that they may worship ME, or this time I will send the full force of my plagues against YOU, and against YOUR officials and YOUR people, so YOU may know that there is no one like me in all the earth. For by now I could have stretched out MY hand and struck YOU and YOUR people with a plpague that would gave wiped YOU of the earth.

sometimes, we think that things belong to us. we claim it. we believe it.
the ministry we serve in belong to me - cos it's what everyone knows.
the discipleship gals are my gals- cos it's in the chart.
the apartment is my apartment - cos it's in my name.
the car is my car - cos i bought it.

what i learned today as i read this passage is this...
we claim it but we actually have no power of protection over it. God was telling Pharoah - oh yeah, u say it's yours?? if u say it's yours then u must have the power to protect it, keep it to own it. but.... do you? do i?
i realised that i don't have the power. i don't have the power to keep my car from being banged, my aprtment from being burned down, my gals from being harmed, tempted, my ministry to grow... i don't.

i'm just humbled by this passage this morning.
all that i am belongs to God and if i put his ownership over it, HE is able to protect it, keep it or grow it.

thank you, Lord for a new understanding of Your might. when you say u can protect it, u are ABLE to do so above any kings or any 'powerful-people'.. you are above it. in Jesus name, amen!

God is just so good... He aldy wanna strike them but still got mercy on the people!
vs 18-19.. at this time tomorrow I will send the worst hailstorm that has ever fallen on Egypt... give an order now to bring in the field to a place of shelter, because the hail will fall on every man and animal... and they will die.
those who believed was saved, those who do not believed died.. not becos God was being bad but because of their own unbelief, thinking they can protect their own things... but they actually are not able to...
