Bridal Shower: Su Su

i love t he flower signage! So pretty. THis is the prettiest bridal shower i've attended! =)
Of course we adorn su with the pretty halo with veil, balloons and flower petals all over...
It was just so pretty....
the invitation:

dear favorite girls of su =)

you have been specially invited to celebrate with our bride-to-be, Ms Ho Su Leen, as she prepares for marriage in a month’s time. though the date of this shower has been set by her, the whole program n theme r gonna be a surprise for her! So sssssshhhhhhhhh….
We all know su loves flowers J so I’ve decided to make the bridal shower theme FLORAL. I’ve also talked to her and found out that she would love a bridal shower that is fun n meaningful.
firstly, we r gathering to celebrate su by showering her with loving words. your invitation card is on the way n you’ll also be given a floral card to write for su. The content of the card needs to be on “when I think of su, I think of…..” please take time to think through coz u have weeks to write something that will bless her.
next, we r gathering to shower her with our love by getting her a gift with floral theme eg a bag with floral design, a flower hair clip etc. preferably something she would like and practical J it doesn’t have to be expensive, any color is good, but must have flower!!
so we arrived and they were taking group picture with Su and then food...
next, we we setup projector to watch...."what girls do when they fall in love..."
ahha.... i only managed to cut 3 chick flicks - the foot popping first kiss of Princess Diaries, the hilarious bend & snap scene from Legally Blonde and of course the infamous 'I love him! I love him! i.. love him!' from Jerry McGuire. Everyone had a good laugh.

she then shared her leg popping experience with marcus and marcus wrote a card describing Su as flowers but he cant come out with one cos they are by far unable to replace his su in his heart... oooo... so mushy... haha... but it's the first time i see a guy outrightly expressing his love and adoration for the one he love... totally real and touching... not like watching movie cos u know it's just acting but this is real from his heart to her heart in public declaration... su is so blessed...

we described Su as flower - blossom, blooming, radiant, beautiful, gorgeous...

then gift opening - everyone brought a floral gift... from rose tea to flower hair clip... it was fun watching her guess who gave what... and then she gave us all a gift too - pretty pink name card holders... so thoughtful of her!

i got to know Jia Huey a bit and then today i invited her to join YOF! yay! i hope she's got a passion for the teens generation!! i really need someone that would stand in the gap to transit the teens from YOF to high school life group! She will think about it after visiting the YOF... keeping my prayers high!

Mallacca trip with my discipleship gals

We had quite a good time...
arrived late but went to Jonker Street to walk around, then satay celup, then watch Stick It, then wake up next morning celebrating Marilyn's bday and then had a group devo together before checking out to go eat cendol, chicken rice, cendol again and then come back in time to rush for SNL.
I was on duty for preservice prayer summore!! haha... super rush weekend... =)

Most Memorable Wedding =)

I say this in fun and joy, not in complaining yah. =)

I was at Kevin & Cheryl's wedding last Sunday. It was beautiful. The place was prettily setup, the couple looks beautiful, everything was in place and all. The guests arrived dressed for the occasion and daintily sat on the dressed chairs, waiting for the solemnization of the vow...
then...
in the midst of pastor's preaching, it started to POUR! haha.. not just drizzle but pour and then it stop and it pour and it stop and it pour and it stop and it pour again... ahha.. so the guests were running to the shelter then come out and continue and then run in to shelter and then come out again - a few times.. ehe.. but some of us didnt really mind because we were there to bless them mar... so some stood in the rain, some brought umbrella and when the vow was finished in the rain, we shouted amen, when we 'heard' from the shelter that he'd kissed the bride, we all whistled and screamed our blessings from the shelter. hehe.. it was memorable alright! we had a good time. something new, something different... the rain didnt dampen our spirit but instead added to the joyous occasion actually!

What's more memorable is this...
Me, YC, Wini's friends (Jessica & Angeline) stayed at Room 10551 of Awana Tower Hotel and guess what!
Our room got broke into between 3am-8am. Yc got back before 2 and i woke up at 8:15am.
She wanted to put her charger back into her notebook bag and realised that the bag is gone!
She tot i pulled a joke by hiding her bag and i tot she was mistaken when she said she chained the latch at the door but the chain is now gone and the latch looks kinda 'wrecked'!
so we looked high and low and finally got to admit that someone broke into our room!!!!!!
i called the front office and told them that our room got broke into, the receptionist asked 'is it the housekeeping?'!!! hahaha....
then they send the security manager, the police up to our room to inspect.

then yc n kaz went to the gohtong jaya police station and was sent up to the genting police station and then made a report and all that, came back with the sergeant and photographer to the room, again repeated the story and all.

here's how the things was put.i really thank God...
i. that He protected my stuffs - my phone was charging there, my computer was there but the thief only took one backpack.
ii. that i invited the other 2 gals to stay with me n yc in the room cos if it's just the 2 of us, not sure if anythigng else would happen. when i thought about it, it really brought fear.

i told yc to response right lor...
is possessions so important to us that it gripped us? if not then take it as giving a blessing the person who took it instead of avenging for it. it's better to give than to receive. if we bless others, God bless us. if it's stolen from us, nobody gets blessed! =)
i can say this not because 'it didnt happen to my stuffs' but because it happened to me before and i just need to learn to let got of earthly possessions and not be gripped by it...

so here's the story lor... been repeating this story like more than 5 times since yesterday!
might as well blog it so u can read it here and i can save my breath! haha...

oh, someone else from 11th floor also got broke into! next time u stay at hotel, please do be more careful and don't assume safety and DON'T SLEEP until ppl break in also dunno!! =(

He's gone...

He's NOT dead lah! haha...
he's just gone to be equipped for 10 months!
Good for him! If you were at his farewell, you would have heard the many stories and lives he'd touched in just the few short years since he got saved. He'd brought about 15 ppl to christ since then! how many of us even brought a few? Hooray for MAX!
He'll be back with a tougher armor of God! =)

He was Kevin's bestman, hence, the suit.
the last i heard from him, on jun 11 3pm, he was having lunch with new course mates and is very blessed.

Sharing of Dreams

Max's t-shirt goes something like this..."If you think that I'm a dreamer, I tell you, I'm not the only one."

I have this dream of reaching artistes and being in the industry and all that. I'm no where near the industry or the people in the industry but as I pray and plan, and pray... things began to fall in place.

in jan there was rain's concert and in march there was wang lee hom's concert. i prayed about going but i know God say not to buy the tickets because He wants me to invest some money to the people that's going to Hillsong! Although hard to accept, yet i wanna obey God!!!! so i crucify my desires and obeyed. i didnt buy the ticket. Then, my dear nailin went and join the hotlink competition and won TWO tickets for me!!! yahoo!

i prayed for wlh concert but didnt get any tickets so i went to prayer walk while he was having concert in the hall! but we can hear so clearly from outside!!! sound just CD! Wah liow eh! then in our walking, we went into the backstage and saw the band, the dancers but he left liow lah of course.. haha... but it was a new experience for us too! it got us excited and all knowing God can open any doors for us! but of course if able to see him would be better but then it's ok. it's in God's hands!

one discipleship day, pc asked whether what would we do if we have a lot of money - u know those typical question - but i seriously tot about it and i know in my heart what i really want to do. of course i cant deny i'll spend some on myself but i want to start a 'Dreamers' Fund'. i did not come from a well to do family and in college days i would have times i don't have money for lunch and i cant join any extra activities because of fees problem or buying uniforms problem... so i want to invest into a generation of dreamers.
not just education but then just dreams that are measured - going to EN07, going to ENLI, starting a business, sending Su to training course - because i believe in them!

lo and behold, Su picked it up during one of the offering collection time and shared it to the SNL congregation that if she got a lot of money, she wanna invest into my dreamers fund! since then, this fund has become another dream that so many ppl encouraged me about!

Kat & Wytee, began to say that they have a friend working in Genting Entertainment for 10 years and running the events there! wow.. that's like an enlightenment of connections.

i was praying about finance to see how i can take a pay cut, support my family and go start all over from the bottom at the industry - then kat shared that she will bless me in a business and all profit will go to me! hmph! another opening - a financial backer!

i am praying to take a trip to taiwan next year and see the industry there and prayer walk at some places but i was concern of finance... and one fine day, i was sharing with nancy and she say she's got a good friend there that can host me... summore she's nice, godly and her husband is kinda well to do so they stay at taipei! wow! good location! hehe... another opening!

i told pc about i wanting to go try 'volunteer' at sammi cheng concert and if don't need me at vic wkd then i dont wanna go. but my first priority is of course honor God first and if pc wants me to do, i'll go to minister! without me knowing pc shared it to the pastoral team!! so i was released from vic wkd. so since then, mark kor has been teasing me about 'how's ms cheng?' haha... i told him that i might not be able to 'volunteer' because they dun have such thing lah but i wanna buy a ticket to go and see how the production is - but buying the cheapest ticket because i dont want to spend the money - sit at the corner and cant see the face wan! haha..
he immediately say he'll sponsor me half the ticket price for the more expensive ticket... of course i say no need.. he took out his wallet and gave me hundred bucks!!!!!!! wow!
thanks, mark kor, for believing in this dreamer. i will always remember how you invested fatherly to my life! so i booked the ticket with kat to go to the RM117 ticket seats! yay! and Kat of course my other partner in dreaming, sponsored the other RM17!
So i didnt have to pay for it! alrito! come to think of it, i didnt pay for any concert tickets this year.

in these 4 years, i was convicted that i wanna setup all the systems in the church office and in the church so that when i leave, everything is in order... that i've raised the various ppl to take my place... but out of the flow of various eventful events, pastor decide to hire - either an administrator or even an office manager! Max was saying that when he saw the announcements, he knew that i'm on my dream track liow... that's when i realised that hey.. God is working without me pushing. another piece of puzzle just fall into place by itself.

there are many dreamers in this house of God!
there are many believers of dreamers in this house of God!

thank you very much for believing in me and investing in this dreamer in this house of God!
i'm not the best. you guys are the best! you touched my life and you've engraved love into my heart to believe in ppl. thank you. thank you. thank you. thank you.

reading these words already gives faith and hope to go on.
but how come so many times, it's easier to give up, to run, to leave, to avoid,
to fear... than to hold on to Him?

Lord, have mercy on your people. We need You.
I need His strong arms to pull me up.
Like i shared at SNL preservice prayer, we all need a hero in our lives.
Every where i turn, i see ppl crying out for a hero - loudly and silently...

So You Think You Can Worship?

I AM SO EXCITED!!! about this new production we are doing!!!

It's gonna be called 'So, you think you can dance(strike off) worship?'

i know the name seems familiar but let me enlighten u!
this came about last year during a season when i was praying what does God wanna do or tell His people.
I was pondering on it for a while and then during one of the worship time at one of the SNL services, God dropped the whole vision into my head and i saw how He wanted to do it!
i quickly wrote it down and shared with the team but then at that time, it was not feasible to do it plus the preparation is a lot of work so i shelved the idea but last month, i was looking thru my tot book and saw this and felt that we need to be faithful with what God has given to us and need to do it!

so i submitted the idea to PC and she suggest that we do it during ParaDive Camp and then the church service!
Hence, we started the process of this production!! =)

This is the MESSAGE 2 u:

You can watch MTV channel 24/7, you can be able to do all the dance steps but it will not change your ‘mood’. But once you tune in to worship God and praise Him, your spiritual atmosphere will change. You will walk away LIFTED and able to see HOPE in your future.

i. Able to bring out the difference between world vs worship, self vs spirit in what we do.

ii. Creating a platform where the people will join us in proclaiming the words of ‘Still Standing’ and hopefully it will be something deposited in their heart that they can always call on God’s grace to continue still standing in whatever situation they are going through.

Questions to ponder:
* Do you listen to secular songs?
* Does it affect your mood? hear a sad song u become moody. hear a love song your desire to be love just surge thru unbearable limits.
*Does the songs give you a hope, a future or joy or even strength to go on or just leave you with many unreachable longings?
*Do you worship God? and i don't mean fast song or slow song... ahha
* Do you feel freer or joy upon you when or after you worship? singing 'i'm trading my..' i feel burden released after that. singing 'hosanna...' i feel like God is my savior i can do anything. singing 'how great is my god..' im reminded of the promises of God in my life and gives me a hope to dream to again....


The whole production is going to be in 2 parts (i think).. ahha...

Yesterday or day before, i was again praying for this production and listening to the song - i felt God says that His anointing is upon the Still Standing song and He'ld use it for His purpose.
I really felt the whole thing needs to come out right so that it is according the will of God.
I was telling Nai Lin that i'm leading this production in fear and trembling just like moses threading carefully on holy ground... it's like i want every bit of the detail to be what God wants it to be so that we will ALL not miss what God wants to do to thru us to the crowd!

i'm still praying for the perfect verse for the production. the message would be along the line of 'you can sing and dance all the songs u see on mtv channel but it won't change your life. but if u would just worship God - even just one song - it will renew your spirit, your strength, it will give you a hope and reason of joy'... something like that... will need to polish it more.. hahah..

After more2life+anf, who am i... here comes... 'so you think can worship?'
