justice

Psa 82:3 Defend the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted
and needy.

Psa 89:14 Justice and judgment are the foundation of Your throne; mercy and truth shall go before Your face.

Pro 21:3 To do justice and judgment is more pleasing to Jehovah than sacrifice.

Ecc 5:8 If you see the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, do not marvel at the matter. For He who is higher than the highest watches; and there are some higher than they.

Hab 1:4 Therefore the law has become helpless, and justice does not always go forth. For the wicked entraps the righteous; therefore justice goes forth, being perverted.

Col 3:25 But he who does wrong shall receive justice for the wrong which he did, and there is no respect of persons.

it is a distortion of God's creation to treat animals as though human but it is a further mockery to God for humans to treat other humans like animals/slaves to them.

Lord, i pray for JUSTICEto prevail over those who are doing evil. push back the work of darkness and evil. let it be uprooted. and let there be no more people falling into the traps.

and i pray for PEACE and COMFORT and MERCY and HOPE for the weak, those that are victimize and those that are taken captives and those that are in a recovery program. HEAL them and make them whole.

In Jesus' name i pray, amen!

into thin air tells the story of mountain climbers who attempted to scale Mount Everest at a dangerous time of year when the weather was unpredictable. Several teams tried in vain to reach the peak as a fierce storm blew in. An American team on one side of the mountain failed as an Indian team on the other side was stranded with no food or water. They were about to freeze to death when a japanese team following their path came upon the. but rather than stopping to help, they continued on.

Later, when asked why they passed on and allowed these Indian men to die, the captain of the japanese team said, "if we stopped we would have never made it to the top. above 8,000 meters is not a place where people can afford morality."

the japanese climbers made it clear they were about climbing, not rescuing others. We, too, can choose whether we will just be about living or rescuing others.

THIS STORY HAS GRIPPED ME OVER AND OVER AGAIN. AM I THE KIND THAT CLOSE MY EYES, CLOSE MY CONSCIENCE, WASH MY HANDS AND LET THEM DIE. OR SHOULD I DO SOMETHING AND BE INVOLVED. WHICH CATEGORY ARE YOU CHOOSING??

here are some people that decided to do something about it: http://www.ijm.org

William Burke said that all that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.
i was thinking about this - if good men do nothing in the face of evil triumphing, why are they still called good men??
