Japanese-themed Birthday Party for Doreen Lim!

I kinda threw a surprised birthday party for Doreen few days ago. Called together a few friends and at the spur of an inspirational moment, suggested a Japanese-themed party. If i've thought of it earlier, I would even suggest to everyone to come in Japanese-themed clothing but then.. oh well... Japanese food and also everyone got to use one type of Japanese food to describe Doreen! You should hear what some of them say! totally hilarious! hahhaa...

but then this is nothing compared to the one I did last year. That was kinda crazy of me... ahhaha..

I gave her a pack of Japanese biscuits, a pack of Japanese snacks, a bottle of Japanese tea, a can of Japanese juice, a pack of Japanese sweets, a bowl of Japanese instant noodle, a Japanese themed card with her Japanese name on it in Japanese birthday wishes - all in a Matching Misfits that helps to raise fund to go to Japan! hahaha...

on a normal day, my workplace is like a mountain of stuffs. but today, i feel like it's a quicksand... i'm the on sinking under the mountain! hahahaha...

in the journey of Genesis... going back to the beginning where man first meet God...

God not just prevent King Abimelech from sinning again Him, He also saved Abraham's neck. Else the king would have chopped him into pieces for bringing such calamity upon him and his household just cos of his cowardice.

God, I pray that you will keep me from sinning against you and you will grant me favor before others that I will not be killed too! AMEN!

My week

last tuesday, i took doreen to watch a musical - CUCI THE MUSICAL 2!
IT WAS AWESOME!

last sunday, we celebrated my godson's birthday. i doubt he knows who am i but i'll try to be part of his life lah... hahahaha... HE IS SOOOO CUTE!

this morning, God is reminding me of the selfish life i've lived in the past year. sigh... time to do something, make a change, pick myself up, dust of the laziness and steer the ship.... starting with dance team! =)

just some updates

have not been blogging for a while...

1. it's been crazy schedule around here...
2. bazaar for 3 days but didnt sell many.. super disappointed & discouraging. but also grateful for the friends that came to encourage us! If you came, thanks for being there for us! =)
3. i think i'm stressed ... little little things can trigger me to burst into tears! omgosh!

Living is difficult.
Trying to make a life is even more difficult.
...whether u have God or not to begin with.

the difference is - with God, i dont feel crushed and cannot breathe. With God, it felt like part of exercising. difficult but it's just exercise.. can wan lah...

Classical Music Whims

The other day, it was musical, this time, let's hit the orchestra!
Last weekend, Ching rushed down from Vic Wkd to pick me then we flew to KLCC for the 3pm Matinee show of "Viennese Piano"featuring Rudolph Buchbinder.
Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven in two sets + one encore fingers-flying-across-the-grand-piano's performance! Amazing. Just amazing!

The thing was, we were late! hahaha.. so we had to stand outside to wait for the break after 20mins to rush in. It was pretty embarrassing for me n ching cos our seats were in the middle of the row... and we had to whisper... sorry, excuse, sorry, excuse.. all the way to our seats. hahaha...

this was while we were waiting outside. we paid so much to watch from outside at the small little tv screen??? ahahha..


This was when ching wanted to take my picture (i dont know why she likes to shoot me but i hate it and she still do it and i still hate it... ), and i didnt want to be shot so i purposely didnt turn around.

after that, we so feel like eating grilled chicken wing, we went all the way to Jalan Alor but the Wong Ah Wah was closed!! and then we end up eating the beef noodle at this really famous but super dirty street side stall AND THEN we so ng kam yuen, we went to search for the chicken wing at the Imbi triangle! and the chicken wing also gone case not there so we end up eating fried lala. hahaha... what a day.

Musical Whims...

it all happened when i had this whim to go watch a musical. after checking out online, i realised that there's this two musical happening, one kinda sad and the other kinda comedy... OF COURSE i choose the comedy... ahhaa... so i sent a text to ching... "want to watch musical?" and she replied let's go.. so yesterday we just walked in to Actor's Studio and bought the tickets. though the middle seats were all taken up, the 'cashier' recommended the two side seats for us. N1 + N2...
IT WAS INDEED A FUN TIME!
me n ching were still singing the catchy tunes while driving home at 11pm.. we each have our own favourites like ..
"mamak mee-ah! with the egg on top! Fui yoh... how can i resist ya!"
"alamak, alamak, a..la..mak!"hahahhaha...we took a detour on the way home to eat Sg Besi Wan Tan Me... after all the food singing in the musical, we were both really hungry... ahhaha....

it's been good nite! Good Laugh + Good Food = Good End to a Good Day!

*if you've not catch it, go do it! Support Malaysian production and also take time off for a good laugh... but i think u've got to be Malaysian to understand the Malaysian jokes... hahahahaha...

the next one i want to go for would be the 90-mins "SPARKS OF BROADWAY" showing 25 - 27 June 2010! There seems to be a big group of casts as compared to Mamak Mee-ah! i think it's gonna be a good show! Ching, let's go again! (if you want to join us, let me know earlier to buy your ticket) hehhehe...

my kai lui finally can recognise me! hahaha.... at least say... "go to kai mah.." she knows who and where! hahahaha.... plus the other day, i say, "come, follow kai mah..." she take my hand and we took a long walk! hahaahha.... yahoo!!! she's super cute... she and her coconut hair! hahaha...

had a good lunch with her and juju. catch up a little and then belle poopoo! hahahhaa.... Ju can tell by her 'guilty face'... my kai lui super cute but also super naughty... she wanted to come down and run around at the food court but then i say cannot.. when she finally got down, she look up to me and gave me the cheeky 'i win' look!! ajoh! i duno wan to laugh at her cute cheeky smile or keep a straight face because i shouldnt be encouraging her rebellion! hahahahah...

Trip Trip! Cameron Highlands!

Finally, the planned trip to Cameron Highlands arrived. The long awaited break after Easter service! After a few stops to change car with Jor Han's 2.0 car, grab the food from Nai Lin's fridge and then McD for lunch, we are on our way.... wooo hooo....

we brought pot and all the ingredients for our own steamboat in the hotel room! hahahha.... ok... maybe it's not so right but then i really wanted a time where we can be casual, at our own pace, eat whatever we want and be leisure and easy about it. so, i kinda asked for it to be in the room instead of going out to eat lor.. ahhaha.... and we had a blast of a time answering those random question cards!

This is the hotel where we stayed. Heritage Hotel. Good thing we were booked into the new wing. i was already expecting some old run down place and even prepped the others to have low expectations... and mana tau.... woooo... pretty yo!

Final stop before heading down. Tea at the top of the hill. we actually picked up two hitch hikers .. Magdalena from Prague and Jessica from Canada. had a fine time chatting with them. they are heading off to Thailand tomoro.
